چکیده

The excellent adsorption properties of clay minerals make the optimization heavy metal removal subject numerous research projects. In present study, ASLAVITAL cosmetic (ACC) powder was applied for Cd2+ from water. main deposit ACC is Pădurea Craiului Mountains in Romania. A wide range morpho-structural approaches (SEM, EDX, FTIR, Raman, XRD) were used to characterize morphology and elemental composition adsorbent. As expected minerals, Al (Wt(%) = 11.4 ± 0.9) Si 13.7 1.4) are constituents ACC. After adsorption, Wt(%) 0.2 0.01 detected sample. proved before, initial concentration primary influencing factor; therefore, batch 10–160 mg/L investigated. 190 min, an efficiency 99% reached, quantity equilibrium increased 1–8 mg/g. best fit linear form obtained Langmuir II. model, where R2 0.954 (RL 0.037–0.027). Based on isotherm models, physical bonds formed between during favorable adsorption. For non-linear fits, Liu model be 0.965, χ2 1.101. Pseudo-II-order kinetic described experimental data 0.988–0.999; qexp qcalc almost identical (the differences ranged 0.03–0.34).

Kinetic modeling of methylene blue adsorption onto acid-activated spent tea: A comparison between linear and non-linear regression analysis

The kinetic study of methylene blue (MB) adsorption using acid-activated spent tea (AAST) as an adsorbent from aqueous solution with the aim of comparing linear and non-linear regression analysis methods was performed at varying initial MB concentrations (10-100 mg/l). Hence, spent tea leaves, which were activated using concentrated sulfuric acid, were prepared. The physicochemical characterist...

Application of non-linear regression and soft computing techniques for modeling process of pollutant adsorption from industrial wastewaters

The process of pollutant adsorption from industrial wastewaters is a multivariate problem. This process is affected by many factors including the contact time (T), pH, adsorbent weight (m), and solution concentration (ppm). The main target of this work is to model and evaluate the process of pollutant adsorption from industrial wastewaters using the non-linear multivariate regression and intell...

non-linear study of various slit shear walls in steel structures

seismic retrofit strategies have been developed in the past few decades following the introduction of new seismic provisions and the availability of advanced materials and methods. it can be observed that new approaches to deal with more lateral forces are more innovative and more energy absorbent. in line with this, there is a growing trend toward the use of steel shear walls as a system with ...
